This lesson addresses the “Attend the Church of Your Choice” mentality toward religion. Does it really matter what you believe? See what the Bible says about it.

Many times people will object to the biblical truth that only those obedient to the gospel have the hope of everlasting life by saying something to the effect of “what about all those good people out there?” What people don’t understand is that our concept is “good” has been watered down and altered by man-made doctrines. Is it really possible for someone to be so morally pure as to be really innocent? Certainly, those who do not have the ability to understand the concept of morality – like little children and the mentally impaired – are held accountable for obedience to something that they don’t have the ability to understand. But for those who have the ability to understand the concept of morality, right and wrong, can it truly be said that they are “good” in the absolute way that God is good?
When we look at the example of Cornelius, in Acts 10, we find one who was even described as being a devout man being called to obey the gospel. What if he had not? Could he have continued to be called a devout after he learned the will of God if he rejected it?
In this lesson we answer that oft used objection to the gospel’s requirement for complete obedience. Salvation is available to all who will hear and obey. Does that describe you?
